TRAIL MIX CONCERT

Join us on Friday, September 11, for another unforgettable outdoor concert experience at our beautiful Preserve. Nestled among the trees and just steps from the Preserve's scenic lakes, the evening promises exceptional live music in one of the South Suburbs' most unique venues. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with music beginning at 7:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and coolers, settle in beneath the stars, around the preserve’s new permanent stage and enjoy food and beverage concessions, including favorites from Flossmoor Station Restaurant & Brewery. Headlining the evening is Mac & Cheese, the acclaimed folk duo featuring Pete McCauley and Tim Cheesebrow. Known for blending Celtic, bluegrass, folk, and classic rock influences with engaging original material, the pair delivers performances filled with rich harmonies, infectious energy, and masterful musicianship. Collectively, they bring decades of songwriting, recording, and touring experience, including multiple acclaimed releases spanning rock, folk, and Celtic traditions. Since joining forces in 2019, McCauley and Cheesebrow have built a devoted following through their super-fun shows and frequent appearances throughout the Midwest music scene.

Opening the evening is Trail Mix favorite Jeff Maharry, appearing in a rare solo performance. Audience members familiar with his music and vocals in Work in Progress and Falling Stars already know him as an outstanding songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist. His intimate solo set will provide the perfect introduction to an evening that celebrates great songs, exceptional musicianship, and the shared experience of live music in the beautiful surroundings of the Preserve. appearances throughout the Midwest folk music scene.
